Megan Lee is a multidisciplinary Korean-American artist whose work invites presence—asking the viewer to pause, linger, and notice. Her works meditate on themes of abundance, gratitude, attention, and gentle surprises of luck. In her clover fields, for example, each four leaf clover becomes less a rare discovery and more an exercise in attention: look long enough, slowly enough, closely enough, and the world begins to offer gifts that were present all along. In this way, the work proposes that expansiveness is not something to be acquired, but something already within us.
Working primarily in painting and installation, Lee explores time, ritual, and gesture as ways of understanding an ever-evolving world where nothing is fixed. Influenced by Gutai and Impressionism, she captures both seen and felt experiences of transient scenes, embracing process, intuition, and the moments of magic that emerge through making.
Megan moved to Hong Kong from New York City in 2026 to continue her studio practice and to engage with Asia’s creative communities.
